Witches have been part of Halloween for ages. These ladies have been hunted and killed for their magic powers and spells that were against nature. However, not every sorceress and witch is a bad one, and you can embody one with the Halloween witch costume of your choice. What styles can be truly amazing and different now when it seems so many styles have been released? Read on.

First, rest assured costume manufacturers renew their collection every year and you can find a great, beatiful and totally new costume for Halloween or any occasion yo wish. Let’s start by defining your style and how you want to look. Funny, scary, sexy, classy, the list goes on and you can even mix few styles together.

Your witch costume should include a hat, don’t worry it’s included. If it’s not you may be disappointed, but it should always be precised it is. Now for the specific styles, tons of colors exist, though black is of course the color of every dark and mysterious character of Halloween. There are many short dresses for a sexy adult witch outfit, and longer ones if you need something more elegant. A good compromise is a witch dress that is split upto mid thigh. You can wear stockings with the sexy ones.

For adults as well as girls, this is where your choice of colors can be very interesting. From orange to purple, blue or pink you can really go with what you like the most. Remember, Halloween is for fun but also to be different. Though black is certainly great you also want to set apart from others. So at least you may want to add few other colors to your ensemble.

To help you with this, think of ribbons to add somewhere, your hat maybe. And what about accessories ? Why not a bit of jewelry, you can havea strange pendant and pretend it holds some very secret spells. And of course, a broomstick so you can travel at the speed of the wind.

As we said earlier, you can mix styles together. Indeed, a sexy witch can be very scay, with some makeup work. It will only take you few minutes but will be well worth it.

Do what is going to be your style ? Check out these sexy adult witch costume ideas. There are also more to see at Halloween Witch Costume.

Kids witch costumes are some of the most popular costume choices. This is especially the case where Halloween festivities are associated. It doesn’t matter what occasion you’re shopping for. You will be able to find kid’s witch costumes to fit the occasion or event. Fortunately, for shoppers there are a variety of styles of kids witch costumes to choose from. There are also many specialty webstores now that are able to accommodate your specific taste.

There are four very popular kids witch costumes. These are the punky, glitter, groovy, and candy corn styles. Each of these is unique, and will help you find the right costume for your child. The punky style kid’s witch costume has a definite punk rock theme. It will turn your little one into a really authentic punker, while style maintaining a witch style costume.

The glitter style witch costume, mostly maximizes the use of glitter.

If your daughter loves glitter, and sparkly things, she’ll love this one. It takes a classic witch costume, and adds the right amount of sparkle. To contrast with this style, there’s the groovy witch costume. This kid’s witch costume actually incorporates a trendy modern theme.

One of the most colorful of the kids witch costumes, is the candy corn style costume. It has such an authentic autumn feel to it, that your child will love it. Not only will she be the toast of the party, she will be the envy of any other child wearing a kid’s witch costume. This costume includes the traditional colors of black, white, orange, and yellow.

Included in this costume kit, is the dress, fashion stockings, choker, and traditional witch style hat. All of these accessories serve to complete your kid’s witch costume. However, there are many other accessories, that can enhance any kids witch costume. It doesn’t matter if you’ve chosen the punky, glitter, groovy, or the candy corn witch costume.

Some have incorporated face paint as a way of enhancing this costume style. While others, choose the classic broom to add to this look. There are also a number of wand choices that can also go along with the witch motif. Shoes can also be a great compliment to any of the kids witch costumes. The motto that the shoes can make the outfit, is true here.

Depending on the age of your child, you may choose a flat heeled shoe. The most popular of these styles is the traditional black leather shoe. For older children or even teens, a higher heel may be appropriate. A popular style is the ballet shoe. Instead of the tights older children may want stockings or nylons to accent their look. Fish net hose are commonly worn with witch style costumes.

Another popular modern accessory is various new purses that compliment this look. Many of these are designed with witch style motifs. So, your child could find a bat, or other type of purse. Finding the right accents for your child’s costume can be the best way to create an authentic look.

The popular Halloween costumes are those that can be recycled and used all year round! More people are being conscious of our environment, and their wallets by wearing Halloween costumes that can be useful after October 31. According to Kevin Bentley, president of AdultFootedPjs.com, more people are using comfy, functional, footed pajamas as part of their Halloween ensemble than ever before. It makes perfect sense!

Being environmentally friendly is definitely the thing to do these days. With talk of global warming and pure concern for the earth, people are aware of the choices they make. The choice for their Halloween costume is no different. A skeleton body-suit or a caveman dress is not cutting it these days. People are wearing adult footed pajamas, swimsuits, thrift-store finds, or little black dresses that can be used and reused again.

The footed pajamas can be paired with hundreds of accessories to create the ?perfect? costume. After Halloween, the adult footed pajamas can be used at home, an extra warm layer for hunting/snowmobiling, or adult footed pajamas can be used in place of a robe.

?I decided to use adult footed pajamas for my Halloween costume this year because I?ve been wanting a pair and they look super cute with a pair of cat ears and whiskers,? a 21 year old woman said.

Obviously, thrift store finds are also very economical and eco-friendly. People find costumes of all shapes and sizes in thrift stores. From eighties rocker costumes, witch brooms, to adult footed pajamas, one can find almost anything at a consignment shop.

?I used to spend lots of money on my costumes, just to wear them for one evening. This year, I?m picking something flirty, fun, and FUNCTIONAL!? said Kristie, a 28 year old.

According to a poll at http://www.adultfootedpjs.com, many of their Halloween customers were being babies, dinosaurs, or even movie characters.

Adultfootedpjs.com was founded in 2004 to provide customers with quality adult footed pajamas at reasonable prices. The site offers a wide range of footed pajama patterns for adults, children and infants.

As families prepare for Halloween, they can turn to FamilyEducation for hundreds of creative homemade costume ideas, spooky activities and tips for making this year’s trick-or-treating fun and safe. With the popular parenting site’s Halloween Costume Finder , parents and kids can browse through creative and inexpensive ideas for babies, kids or groups.

Families can search the Halloween Costume Finder by type of costume, such as animals, famous people, food items, scary costumes, or ideas from TV, movies and books. They can narrow their search by gender, age or keywords to find exactly the right costume for this year’s celebration.

Parents who are stumped for ideas for this year’s costumes can spend some time looking at the Top 2009 Kids’ Costumes for Halloween on FamilyEducation. They’ll discover that with the popularity of the “Twilight” book series and numerous television shows, vampires are a big hit this year. And, of course, Harry Potter is still very much in fashion. When an idea in the slideshow strikes their fancy, parents and kids can link directly to the instructions for making the costume.

A Halloween mask is a great addition to any costume, and a slideshow on FamilyEducation features instructions for making a variety of different masks, from Martians to mice, using items families can find around the house.

“Halloween is a great time for families to get creative and have a lot of fun together,” said Jess M. Brallier, publisher, Family Education Network. “With the ideas on FamilyEducation, parents and kids can choose and make great costumes, turn their house into a haunted mansion, and play games and activities for a ghoulishly good celebration.”

After family members have selected their costumes, it’s time to decorate for Halloween. FamilyEducation offers crafty ideas for making any home a haunted house. Kids might want to make a “Ghastly Ghost” to hang on a tree outside and spook the neighbors, or a “Wicked Welcome” mobile that is sure to keep away those things that go bump in the night.

Whether they are planning a Halloween party or just looking for a way to spend some frighteningly fun family time, parents will find Halloween activities and quizzes on FamilyEducation to keep their kids and their friends entertained and spooked. In the Top 10 Halloween Activities, they will learn about great Halloween games, such as Walk on the Witch’s Hat, or discover instructions for making a bag for toting all the candy they score while trick-or-treating.

Families who are planning a Halloween get-away can discover the Top 10 Halloween Destinations on FamilyEducation and head off on a spine-tingling trip they’ll never forget. A trip to America’s witch capital, Salem, Mass., where they can visit the Witch Museum, House of the Seven Gables and the New England Pirate Museum, might fit the bill for families with older children. Parents of younger kids might want to check out Anoka, Minn. The self-proclaimed “Halloween Capital of the World” offers a month-long schedule of festivities, such as haunted houses and jack-o’-lantern contests, as well as an “Orange Tie” ball, food festivals and musical performances.

Candy is, without a doubt, the focus of every kid’s trick-or-treat mission, so Mom and Dad might want to consider handing out some cost-effective and unique alternatives to sweets this year. FamilyEducation offers ideas for creative treats and toys that might make your house the most popular on the block this Halloween. A full-sized candy bar gets gobbled up quickly, but fake fangs, glow sticks and scary stickers can provide hours of fun, long after the candle in the pumpkin has burned out.

FamilyEducation also makes pumpkin carving fun and easy with its Jack-O’-Lantern Creator . This interactive tool allows kids to choose eyes, noses and mouths to give their online pumpkins unique personalities and then print out templates to guide carving. Or they can print and color their customized creations to use as Halloween decorations.

FamilyEducation’s Halloween quizzes test the family’s knowledge of this increasingly popular holiday. With a “Halloween History” quiz, they can figure out how much they really know about this scary celebration or they can delve deeply into the world of gourds with the “Pumpkin Power” quiz.

Black clothes and a witch hat, plus bags of sand equals SANDWITCH!!

What do you think? Answer below!

My short film “Isobel & The Witch Queen” which world premiered exclusively at the 2012 Macworld | iWorld event on Friday January 27th at 7:00PM at Moscone Center West as part of the iPhone Film Festival discussion panel. Shot entirely on the iPhone 4S using the FiLMiC Pro and iSupr8 apps. Sound recorded using the Zoom H4N. Edited on a [underpowered] late 2008 Macbook Pro using Final Cut Pro X. There were so many things I wanted to do with the making of this film, but with no budget (literally a zero budget) or sponsorship, lack of equipment (we built the boom pole from an old painter’s pole, built our own dolly tracks out of track lighting we found in an attic, etc., but we did at least have the Steadicam Smoothee for the iPhone 4S) extreme time constraints, and no way of doing the visual effects that I wanted to (let alone simple editing due to the constant computer crashes) I was left with what you see here… but I hope it shows what can be done with just an iPhone, persistence, and a love of filmmaking… despite the incredibly limited resources! SYNOPSIS: Isobel is an 11 year old girl, dealing with the pain of her parent’s break up. She finds herself led into a magical dream realm, where its fantastic inhabitants mirror her earthly plight; pushing her forward on her quest to help her mother. After an encounter with the Witch Queen, Izzy returns eager to support her mother with the knowledge that her mother has had the power all along to start her new life… CREDITS
